Trick to Increase Browsing Speed in IE or Firefox

You really don’t need to tweak your browser in case you are using Firefox because it is a browser which has been specially designed for optimized and fast browsing but if you can make it even a little more fast that would certainly be a treat for you. Likewise there is a trick to make Internet Explorer 6 fast too. Browsers are designed to work with fast connections but with this trick even dial-up users can experience fast and smooth browsing.

Optimize Firefox and IE Browsing Speed
I shall be teaching you two tricks which work separately on Firefox and Internet Explorer. It doesn’t require you to be some expert rather all you have to do is change some registry values and you are done. I have also included a video tutorial for those who want to see it step by step visually. This is perhaps one of the oldest tricks to optimize Firefox and IE but it still works great.

Trick to Increase Firefox Speed

1. Open firefox and in the address bar write about:config and press enter
2. Double click network.http.pipelining and set it to True
3. Double click network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set value to 10 from 4
4. Right click and create a new string nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0

You are done. Enjoy lightning fast Firefox browsing and now for IE.

Trick to Increase Internet Explorer Speed

1. Go to Start –> Run and type regedit
2. Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER –> Software –> Microsoft –> Windows –> Current Version –> Internet Settings
3. Increase the values (DECIMAL) from default to a higher value e.g. 10

See the difference in speed of IE :D

A Thorny Plant

On the lazy Sunday afternoon, sitting restlessly at home before my PC, i just stole a moment to look out and gleefully my eyes resisted to come back into the room again. Though, there was nothing particularly spectacular outside, still my mind never felt like coming back to the 15" monitor!

The sun was burning bright on the plants which we had planted long ago, and later left to themselves to grow. We never actually cared to look after those 5-7 plants, happily(or not so.. ) placed in their respective Pots with natural ease. "Why don't they die?" I curiously quizzed my mom, lying sleepishly on the comfy bed behind me. She would have been less baffled if thunderstorm would have stroke our home than me asking the question about Household chores. Still she diligently opted to gift me a straight forward answer .... "These idiot plants (thankfully, now, i am not the ONLY idiot at home) seems to be on their self-service. They have thorns, and they don't ask for water anymore!! " I wanted to look back to my mom, but my eyes sticked there. I was floating into the valley of my thoughts.

How nice would it become, if the need of water becomes extinct from the planet? How amazing would it be, if, instead of asking for water, people would start craving about sunlight. It is assumed, that if the we would continue our step-motherly treatment to water as we do, soon, the world will see the biggest feud for water within next 20 years. No matter how relaxed are we in our living rooms, its the time, for all of us to wake and be the part of the bandwagon to save this earth and our forthcoming generation from being the Thorny Plant!

A Bridge Too Far

Though, I am not a die hard relegious being, neither i am a devil by brain, but recently i was stuck up with a masterpiece satirical article on those who wants to destroy the priceless archelogical tokens to gain the monetary gains.

Read on ...

The Lord surveyed the Ram Setu and said "Hanuman, how diligently and strenuously you and your vanara sena had built this bridge several centuries back. It is remarkable that it has withstood the ravages of the climatic and geographical changes over centuries. It is indeed an amazing feat especially considering the fact that a bridge at Hyderabad built by Gammon using latest technology collapsed the other day even before they could stick the posters on its pillars."
Hanuman with all humility spoke "Jai Sri Ram, it is all because of your grace. We just scribbled your name on the bricks and threw them in the sea and they held. No steel from TISCO or cement from Ambuja or ACC was ever used. But Lord, why rake up the old issue now."
Ram spoke "Well, Hanuman some people down there want to demolish the bridge and construct a canal. The contract involves lot of money and lot of money will be made. They will make money on demolition and make more money on construction. "

Hanuman humbly bowed down and said "Why not we go down and present our case"
Ram said "Times have changed since we were down there. They will ask us to submit age proof and we don't have either a birth certificate or school leaving certificate. We traveled mainly on foot and some times in bullock carts and so we don't have a driving license either. As far as the address proof is concerned the fact that I was born at Ayodhya is itself under litigation for over half a century, If I go in a traditional attire with bow and arrow, the ordinary folks may recognize me but Arjun Singh may take me to be some tribal and, at the most, offer a seat at IIT under the reserved category. Also, a God cannot walk in dressed in a three-piece suit and announce his arrival. It would make even the devotees suspicious. So it is dilemma so to say."
"I can vouch for you by saying that I personally built the bridge."

"My dear, Anjani putra, it will not work. They will ask you to produce the lay-out plan, the project details, including financial outlay and how the project cost was met and the completion certificate. Nothing is accepted without documentary evidence in India. You may cough but unless a doctor certifies it, you have no cough. A pensioner may present himself personally but the authorities do not take it as proof. He has to produce a life-certificate to prove that he is alive. It is that complicated."

"Lord can't understand these historians. Over the years you have given darshan once every hundred years to saints like Surdas, Tulsidas, Saint Thyagaraja, Jayadeva, Bhadrachala Ramdas and even Sant Tukaram and still they disbelieve your existence and say Ramayana is a myth.

The only option, I see, is to re-enact Ramayana on earth and set the government records straight once for all."

Lord smiled "It isn't that easy today. Ravan is apprehensive that he may look like a saint in front of Karunanidhi. I also spoke to his mama Mareecha, who appeared as a golden deer to tempt Sita maiyya when I was in the forest and he said that he won't take a chance of stepping on earth as long as Salman Khan is around."

Nokia 6300 - The Cult and Cute Phone

How much can you get that Slim?

Nokia - A finnish company, having its strong customer base in India, timely realised the stiff competition it had on its rail, when Motorolla started to inch towards consumer's pocket with its swanky looking economical handsets having plethora of features.

Nokia came up with A stylish, sleek and "Hold it with your Fingers" phone which was quite potent to set the market on zing!

Few months back, i went to look for handset, being a Nokia Loyalist, the only thing that comes out of my mouth when i hear the word "Cellphone" is NOKIA! Naturally, i was browsing through with different makes, specially N-Series. But the brave and out-front suggestions given to me by my mates, drove me to buy this slender masterpiece.

To cut it short, this is a brave effort on the company's part to keep it full of features, robustness and the Trademark Nokia's Ease of Navigation. Though its camera without flash is a biiig let-down for all those who always looks for clicking picture and capture their special moments. Camera works good at natural light, but when its night-time, you would see more pronounced Grains than the person whom you are clicking!

For the rest of the features, sound is good (but plz dont compare it with SE phones, they still rules), its speedy(just like any other S40 phone.) but the most contrasting feature of this Phone is its Display, with 16 million colors in its kitty, its sure going to be charm of your gleeful eyes!
Indeed, to add to the futility, the display which is so robust, may be headache for some, as this consumes lot of battery power, and thus, for normal usage, you need to hold the charger's tale by end of each day - that's a nuisance .. i feel !

Still, the phone is good, free from viruses(yeah, its a java s40 phone, so no worry for virus infection!!) this piece makes a Paisa Vasool.

A bee sting or a kiss?

Its not a long time that a small bee gave a more a BEER like thunderbolt direct on my eye-lid . I was not able to think, speak or even pose correctly when it striked.

By Each day it was pumping and swell more drastically, untill, one day i said, letz put a period to this. As i approached doc, the first thing he scared me of was of using his "machine" through which he can push and blast away all the swelling ... how typically horrible!!! It was better that medicines were a better alternative to using that machine!

Since 4-5 days, i am under the medications and feeling that things are starting to shed an blanket over the blanket of my eyes. But during these days, more than my parents, it was my boss who really got so worried predicting the black clouds of my unavailability at office. Thanks boss for your concern, i had enough holidays for this month -- So don't worry!

A Call from Within ..Chak De !

Seldom, we see such a masterpiece writ so meticulously in the chapter of Bollywood's history with gracious ease and emphatic effect.

Chak de India is a story of a 'Player turned coach' who is fighting with his own world and the world outside to prove his piety and his undying dedication towards his nation ... a nation which has forlorn him and wrongly labeled him 'A Traitor' .

Chak de India is a story of the bunch of girls marshal together for Indian Hockey National team, who are though seemingly like one unit, but yet are entirely Sparrow and Hens to each other.

Chak de India is a story of fighting with adversities and coming through with punching thy fist and telling this world, you don't have dead veins to dream.

...And indeed chak de is something about more, perhaps, pretty more. Its all the fun, a joyride and an horrible canvas of stupid sports administration in india, which still has loosely screwed orthodoxical mindset which still horrifically believes that Its only men who can run this world and women are merely a birth machine or cooking institute.

Last week, i got the chance to view this marvelous masterpiece. but sadly, i was the only one who went to the movie theatre, despite of building all the plans to watch the movie with my Sister and her husband, and my parents.

The movie was good and had a decent pace, but i really somehow believe that this movie would otherwise have been successful even if Mr. Shahrukh would have been left off from this. i know some of my blog readers would find it offensive if they are really shahrukh "chak de" khan devotees, but i still feel that "Aamir" or "Saif" could also have done the justice to the role.

I liked the way the director flaunted the difference in culture. we often say that "unity in diversity" but do we really mean it? Do we really call us Indians before calling us delhi-ites or mumbai-ites? An eye-awakener, truly!

As for the girls being casted, i truly appreciate the way each girl gave their solid performance. They were above the par, and only after coming out of the theatres i was forced to believe that most of them were actually related to the Hockey in first place, and they didn't had anything to do with acting before appearing in this movie! Be it the bubbly girl from haryana .."Miss chautala" or be the "Bashing Kaur" or be it "The cutest of all eyes .. Preeti sabbarwal" every character came to life in these thorough 3 hours. Shahrukh was as immaculate and unblemished as ever. I truly like the way he said to all girls " I only know one thing "I-N-D-I-A"

The only thing i missed in this movie were good dialogues, watching bollywood ishtyle-ed movies over long period of time, we are used to the good effective, blood pumping dialogues, but sadly there were rare in this classic. Probably few readers would contest against me for this, as they would have liked the Shahrukh's pre-Final Speech to the team .. "Yeh Sattar Minute". but i felt as if it sadly became a remainder of an thoughtless attempt to present some sensational array of inspirational words.

Neverthless, i would give 8 starts to this out of 10, and would suggest every single Indian to go and watch this movie. I am sure you also won't mind being extravagant while writing one review like this in your blog. Till then .... "Chak De ...& Vande Matram!"

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

'Clash of The Titans' ... When two donkeys met!

It happens rarely ... more so, when you are roaming in posh streets of Netaji Subhash Place, Delhi and you find this Exciting, and an iconic creature coming just before me. Probably, it could have found an brotherly attraction in me or something else, i could not figure out.

Yeah, thats true! I was roaming there at weekend, when a same creature like me came across. Though, he just bowed down, thinking i look more Exaggeratedly like a donkey than him!! so i thot of one-to-one comparison. I think ... thunk ... thought, but really could not figure out who looks more smarter, my mom certainly finds the one at left as more attractive and "Handsome", so i turned to my papa. "You see, technically, the guy at left, seems more like a gentle creature, who is this donkey at right anywez?" he quizzed!

Woops!! my izzat is at stake now, so i thought to leave this to my blog readers as of who is looking smarter here?

Paani Paani ... Rajdhani !

Last week, India's Capital - delhi got confused .. whether to shed tears of joy or happiness for the open sky and pleasant weather! It was 2nd August, when it started raining since early morning, early joggers too got the wind of the cool weather its going to be. Little anyone had thought how much murkier and full of disgruntlement the day will become for them.

The daemon of overnight shower created a havoc of its sorts on poor Delhi roads. Already the victim of banishment from the Municipality of Delhi, and wet underwear behavior of Government, the roads were left to their own task of soaking or managing the surplus of rain water. Sadly, the infrastructure, bowed. Tuesday morning turned out to be the worst one in this monsoon season. As delhi flew and caught the pace to rush to their respective work places, the snarls and honking were prominent scene, more than, finding noisy drums in the marriage processions.

The never wet roads turned out to be the Bathing tub for the rickshawalas, Car broke down and so does the traffic's pace. No police to man the traffic, signals were meaningless and so were the expectations from the chief minister to put even her 1/10000th attention to the fact that just 3 years down the line, This water pool city ..... err... Capital City is going to host one of the most prestigious Games Ceremony which will span the big countries from around the Globe.

I was going through the company bus and i thank lord that i subscribed to the company bus, had it been some local transport, i'd had been wishing "Good morning" to my Boss by 4'o clock!!!
The smart driver, drove around the streets to reach the office being just by an hour late!

The pictures could not rightly express the turmoil whole city went through, but surely, Delhi has lots of questions to ask this 4 year old government of how they would like to put this miserable situation in their bags? Probably miss Sheila Dixit must have lots of things to answer. Over to you Mrs. CM!!

Blue Scream of Death

Beware ...!! Now forget about the good ol days when you need at least a Oscar nominated horror flick to leave you fainted in your thoughts. The Blue line buses plying flying on delhi roads, can do just that!! or indeed more!

it all started very recently, the first week of July 2007. A blueline bus rammed into 10 cars standing decently at Raja garden Red-light, when this boulder like bus rammed onto them with little mercy and fierce blunt. It took one little life of a Ten year old kid. But alas, the worse had yet to come, day after day, the series of nonsense driving continued. Thankfully this time the government gave its tortoise like act a quit. Delhi's chief minister and Transport minister Haroon Yusuf, expressed their disgruntled feelings and ordered strict checking all over the Delhi roads.

Several buses were stopped, some justifiably but more or less unjustifiably. In all this hoopla, there was a section of society which was left Unaided and unattended ..... "The commuters". Buses or No Buses, they are always the worst sufferers who were left stranded at the bus stops, waiting endlessly to spot the bus-deserted roads and guessing what kind of treatment their bosses will give to them when they will reach their office. The situation got Topsy turvy and the government was still in a "Baby with the wet Nappy" situation.

Delhi city was once again apprehended under the unlucky situation of Exorbitant Autorickshaw walas and little bunch of D.T.C. Buses.

Bad Situational handling , false assurances and political motives dominated the aftermath of the Delhi Road Tragedies. The tale was sorrow and horrible, but takers were few! CM settled in for pushing in rules and guidelines within bus owners, not realizing that it was just a tip of an ice berg which made the whole giant Titanic to sunk deep into the watery grave!

The newspapers next morning were suggestively loud and clear that sooner it will again be Blood Pooled roads. And miserably, it didn't took much for the Blueline devil to punch its teeth once again. City was again under the menace.

Up till date, all the government did was to steam up the operations and get the speed governors get checked at each blue line bus, but seeing the response and operational architecture, it seems that its all the same and sane story of finding the inspector rather than looking for criminals!

GOD SAVE DELHI

# Via this blog, i request all those administrative executives who hold the rights to take the potential decision, to phase out an alternative plan rather than to try improve(leave alone to make then disciplined) the conditions of the bus and drivers.A private entry into the Delhi transportation will do wonders as in the case of Telecom sector.

Am i a Philosopher?

I talk to myself daily, almost daily, in the morning or late evening, just try to explore the inner myself with more expatiation. I somehow found myself to be a hungry for fun kinda person, but at the same time, i satisfies myself with a thought that i am an individual who have an outlook of a philosopher and a deep thinker.

Yeah, to some extent i am a thinking machine, i always try to explore the way beyond, somewhere in me, there is a person who wants to live the life differently, and most daringly. But, Somewhere, i found a person who is so shy and sitting in the corner of a biiig black room staring with his timid eyes and trembling fingers.

There are times, when i act thoroughly practical and extremely rock solid, but sometimes i gaze myself and say to me ... oh! you are so soft, baby, from inside! Every person is a blend of himself, having lots of smart shades hiding among his inner soul. There are something, that the world sees, but there may be something, which this world can't ... Really can't!

This could be one of the most out of the blue blog entries which dont have any meaning, but that is perhaps my best means to explore myself.

Just few moments to go ...

Ecstatic, fun-filled, loving, deeply engrossed, ups, lows, downs, and then standing up and taking the challenge. Last 1 year, i had seen everything, and indeed more. Now, as i am standing with my arms open, facing my Another Birth Anniversary. Thankfully, i found some time to share myself inside out at this moment.

No matter, this could very well churn out to be another gruelling and monotonous essay of my feats and losses, but i will certainly keep it SSS (Sweet, simple and sexy!)

When i had celebrated my last b'day, i still rembr, the fun loving and cool atmosphere with all the decent buddies by my side at office(Netprophets). Some of those people are still in direct touch and are absolutely very dear to me! And i alwez curse myself for not been able to find enuff time to meet them, hug them and tell them how meaningful they were to me even after i am not with them. Maheshwar sir, Bhaskar(Mucchad), Chaman(bhai), Arvind(Arry), Rishi, sumit, anand(both of them), shivani, neha, babul, ramesh, Divya , Amitabh sir, Saurabh sir. there was something special and different yet characteristic in all of them.

Time moved, but i kept everyone around me everytime ... each day .. passing moments. I changed my company, from one stem to another tree, hopping i met different people, different challenges, some bright some damp.

This year, i also saw my best friend shashi getting married. Seeing him settled was fun, but at the same time a bit scary too! :) Whole year went as swift as ferrari. Bass yaadein reh gayee!

Soon, i would be entering a new phase of my life .. i would be entrusted with lots of responsibilities, both social and official. I know that there would be hard times too and some delightful moments are also packed to be dispatched for me! All i would need is a constant struggle to be the best in my eyes, and do the very very best for somebody soo so soo sooo special in my LIFE ..... "MY PARENTS". So its the right time for me to re-group myself and get ready for another stint ...

I would love to call the coming year of my life as "Boulder Determination of a Bolder life" !

I don't know if i still would be maintaining this for next year, but if i'd, i would come back to trail this next year, exactly 11:30 at 4th July 2008 and answer, what i had lost and what i had gain.

Till then .... HAPPY B'DAY 2 ME!! :)

My beautiful sunday morning

SUNDAY

Its not hard at all to guess why this single 6 digit word brings such a charming and beautiful feeling deep inside. The magical word spreads the cool feeling of a light at the end of a deep and long dark tunnel. A service man can easily understand the emphatic meaning of SUNDAY, he can verse it to as "A Painkiller", or the "Sweet Punch". but no matter whatever one says .. the sunday remains a very beautiful day to cherish and live the whole week within 24 hours.

Some secrets you dont know about your Mobile...

Though, hidden but these tips can really be useful to your Mobile.

Cast & Greed

"Unity in Diversity" - Since our childhood, we found this phrase being used as frequently as birth of a new baby in our country - India. The phrase commonly suggests that though this country is fully of vivid cultures, people and traditions, but we all in a unique spirit are equal and united.

Last week, unfortunately the country saw something astonishingly different story rather. The two different backward communities lifted their arms and weapons to protest for/against the Reservation. Meena community, the already declared ST Group stronly protested the attempt of Gujjar community to be casted as Schedule tribe instead of OBC(which holds lesser reservation quota).

What followed was the bloddy tale and politically motivated disrupt in northern india in particular. I alwez wonder how the two groups gets motivated to altercate and fume the society in bits just to seek their foolish motives.

Though the democaratic country can prolong its show-off pride in being a free for all
nation, the roots are still rotten till depth. It will require lots of "Rang De Basantis" and Lots of sensible Politicians to change it .. hopefully!! Being a concerned Indian, i hope that day will come Soon ...!!

Sleeping @ Office - My New Adventure !

In one of my previous post, i had mentioned about subscribing to the company bus service. Now to begin with ... let me introduce this post as the "After-effects of Previous adventure" Since waking at 6 in the morning is in itself is a bitter experience, the morning adventure is leaving me in almost damaged state throughout the day!

But hey .. no, the guy in the pic is not me! its just the reflection of me! after all every IT proffesional sleep like this only ( To the envy of his TL)

Major concern is not holding yourself post-lunch but rather steal a nap in installments to relieve yourself. After all boss must understand that this is another form of Meditation ... eh :)

Reaching home, though it used to be never before 12:30 i catch the comfort of my bed, but these dez its never late than 10:30 (woo!! my mother is happily crazy seeing the sea change in me!)

Hope this dullness will stop and i will get over with this in few days! Lots of good time is getting wasted in sleeping! :(

A Happy Journey ....

Luckily after much mind mash moosh .. i have subscribed to company bus service recently. The service is good.. but the real pain is waking up early and rush to board the bus before it leaves you high and dry! .. Now how could a lazy planet in me could wake so early and ruch to catch the bus ... but .. life is all about challenges !!

3 days now, and feeling good ... coming early and leaving early are appreciable. The good thing is i have found good set of people who has friendly and down to earth nature as well .. "Khoob pategi".

Couldn't find too many good faces there :) but still .. The crowd rocks! I could bravely quote my journey through bus as a Journey to Happiness. If somehow my bus mates happens to read this blog, i would like to give 'em HI5. Dudes! i had a gr8 time last evening when you all pulled my leg and ragged me :) It was fun ... REALLY! Thanks!

Mere Yaar ki shaadi !!

Well .... what should i say ...? Ek aur bakra halaal!! I never thot writing a blog entry about somebody's marriage on such a painful note. Sadly, as shown in the adjoining DIAGRAM, two beautiful looking people are standing with each other .. and in a quiet way taking a pledge to stay with each other for life! Looks cool? hmm? isn't it? ... Naah!! Just read on ...

Being a typical Manish, my expression would be ... Woooooooo ... bhooooo :( Shaadi!!!!!! Nahiiiiiiiii!! Well i could not understand why people marry so early? or why they marry at all? Can't they stay with each other without this pricky responsibilities tag?? I may be weired and there are many who are ready to suck even the last drop of blood from my body listening that, but its my blog .. friends ... u cant do anything :)

Coming back to the point ....
Its good to be married, and its not .... but at last its the mind boggling discussion which could never end. So just at least for this blog entry, i just stop looking for the end of the thread.

....... Feeling sleepy ... will append more withing 2-3 days ... So keep your eyes stick !

Some things never change ... Like Me

I do and break my promises time and again. Every time i gets delayed in hitting with the new post ... i just promise this blog that i will be regular in hitting with some typos of mine .. but the pure business is killing this blog i suppose. But waise i love this blog a lot and won't let this die.

I alwez used to wonder, (when i started writing the blog) that how could blog ... an online public diary could be just a passion? But slowly as the cog moved , i came to realise this is a medium and ventillation to talk with oneself !!

I Hope this time... i won't break my promise!! Though i know that i won't find the time in this weekend too as My friend shashi is unfortunately getting married :( [Cheers to Him!!]

But surely i would put in my whole experience of this coming weekend. I hope this would be an ultra-special weekend for me!! A trip to Alwar, Rajasthan. Attending best friend's wedding and dhoom dhadaka .. dhol and Naach Gaana!! Lots of plans!! I hope his TO-BE has lots of Chicks around! Optimism is the Key of life ... they say :)

My Parents, Re-Married!!

A classic saying --- Live life and live each day as if there is no tomorrow! We all know that each day is special, and indeed it has to be special so that the colors of joy and exuberance may be filled all over in each day.

Yesterday, wen i was busy arranging surprise gifts for my parents' anniversary(which is today), i was sure that my tomorrow is going to be beautiful and for sure!

So coming straight to the canvas ..... I had arranged some cool gifts for both mummy and papa, moreover had booked a bouquet of flowers which had to arrive 2day morning.

Morning ..(Today) , i was half asleep and waiting patiently for the door bell to rang and mummy to get the surprise of the day! But indeed the luck has something else in store.... the surprise turned out to be much more surprising for my mom...! She indeed thoought the delivery guy with the bouquet as a Beggar. Funny .. she with the folded hands turned him off saying "No ... Thank you". I am sure he must have never been embarassed in his hole life like mom cremated him! ha!!

I came rushing to door with the quest of seeing my mom in surprise... but she myself gave the surprise that he went off. OOOh!! wat a waste!! i rushed towards the Florist, get everything done and went to home back. Thank god this time my mom didnt mistook me as beggar! :)

I presented the gifts and the flowers to parents, and they were so elated, surprised, humbled, touched, ... etc etc etc.. that all they could do is to speak through their eyes as how great they were feeling at that moment. And mind you for any child, that moment is more than the life.

The good thing of today was that incidentally the Holi also clashed with my Parents' wedding anniversary. So after all the morning presents, celebrations etc, i got ready for another stint... To go wild with Holi dhamaal. Drove with friends to different places and celebrated holi with lots of colors. enjoyed to the hilt.

Later in the evening, i went with the parents to have dinner. We dined the delecious nihari mutton. and then scooped the delightful Nutty Buddy ice creams to finish off the day.

The day went smooth, peaceful and great. But the most satisfying thing was seeing my parents happy. The pleasure to see them delighted will keep me on .... to give them more precious moments in future!

Say out LOUD !
