Cast & Greed

"Unity in Diversity" - Since our childhood, we found this phrase being used as frequently as birth of a new baby in our country - India. The phrase commonly suggests that though this country is fully of vivid cultures, people and traditions, but we all in a unique spirit are equal and united.

Last week, unfortunately the country saw something astonishingly different story rather. The two different backward communities lifted their arms and weapons to protest for/against the Reservation. Meena community, the already declared ST Group stronly protested the attempt of Gujjar community to be casted as Schedule tribe instead of OBC(which holds lesser reservation quota).

What followed was the bloddy tale and politically motivated disrupt in northern india in particular. I alwez wonder how the two groups gets motivated to altercate and fume the society in bits just to seek their foolish motives.

Though the democaratic country can prolong its show-off pride in being a free for all
nation, the roots are still rotten till depth. It will require lots of "Rang De Basantis" and Lots of sensible Politicians to change it .. hopefully!! Being a concerned Indian, i hope that day will come Soon ...!!

Sleeping @ Office - My New Adventure !

In one of my previous post, i had mentioned about subscribing to the company bus service. Now to begin with ... let me introduce this post as the "After-effects of Previous adventure" Since waking at 6 in the morning is in itself is a bitter experience, the morning adventure is leaving me in almost damaged state throughout the day!

But hey .. no, the guy in the pic is not me! its just the reflection of me! after all every IT proffesional sleep like this only ( To the envy of his TL)

Major concern is not holding yourself post-lunch but rather steal a nap in installments to relieve yourself. After all boss must understand that this is another form of Meditation ... eh :)

Reaching home, though it used to be never before 12:30 i catch the comfort of my bed, but these dez its never late than 10:30 (woo!! my mother is happily crazy seeing the sea change in me!)

Hope this dullness will stop and i will get over with this in few days! Lots of good time is getting wasted in sleeping! :(

A Happy Journey ....

Luckily after much mind mash moosh .. i have subscribed to company bus service recently. The service is good.. but the real pain is waking up early and rush to board the bus before it leaves you high and dry! .. Now how could a lazy planet in me could wake so early and ruch to catch the bus ... but .. life is all about challenges !!

3 days now, and feeling good ... coming early and leaving early are appreciable. The good thing is i have found good set of people who has friendly and down to earth nature as well .. "Khoob pategi".

Couldn't find too many good faces there :) but still .. The crowd rocks! I could bravely quote my journey through bus as a Journey to Happiness. If somehow my bus mates happens to read this blog, i would like to give 'em HI5. Dudes! i had a gr8 time last evening when you all pulled my leg and ragged me :) It was fun ... REALLY! Thanks!

A Wish to have a Very Good Day

Forget about the days
when its been cloudy, but

don't forget your hours in the sun

Forget about mistakes
that you can't change now, but

don't forget the lessons
that you've learned

Forget about the times
you've been defeated, but

don't forget the victories you've won

Forget about misfortunes
you encounter, but

don't forget the times your luck has turned

Forget about the days
when you've been lonely, but

don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen

Forget about the plans
that didn't seem
to work out right, but...

Don't forget to Always Have A Dream

Keep Smiling

Have a Wonderful day!!!!!!

Mere Yaar ki shaadi !!

Well .... what should i say ...? Ek aur bakra halaal!! I never thot writing a blog entry about somebody's marriage on such a painful note. Sadly, as shown in the adjoining DIAGRAM, two beautiful looking people are standing with each other .. and in a quiet way taking a pledge to stay with each other for life! Looks cool? hmm? isn't it? ... Naah!! Just read on ...

Being a typical Manish, my expression would be ... Woooooooo ... bhooooo :( Shaadi!!!!!! Nahiiiiiiiii!! Well i could not understand why people marry so early? or why they marry at all? Can't they stay with each other without this pricky responsibilities tag?? I may be weired and there are many who are ready to suck even the last drop of blood from my body listening that, but its my blog .. friends ... u cant do anything :)

Coming back to the point ....
Its good to be married, and its not .... but at last its the mind boggling discussion which could never end. So just at least for this blog entry, i just stop looking for the end of the thread.

....... Feeling sleepy ... will append more withing 2-3 days ... So keep your eyes stick !

Some things never change ... Like Me

I do and break my promises time and again. Every time i gets delayed in hitting with the new post ... i just promise this blog that i will be regular in hitting with some typos of mine .. but the pure business is killing this blog i suppose. But waise i love this blog a lot and won't let this die.

I alwez used to wonder, (when i started writing the blog) that how could blog ... an online public diary could be just a passion? But slowly as the cog moved , i came to realise this is a medium and ventillation to talk with oneself !!

I Hope this time... i won't break my promise!! Though i know that i won't find the time in this weekend too as My friend shashi is unfortunately getting married :( [Cheers to Him!!]

But surely i would put in my whole experience of this coming weekend. I hope this would be an ultra-special weekend for me!! A trip to Alwar, Rajasthan. Attending best friend's wedding and dhoom dhadaka .. dhol and Naach Gaana!! Lots of plans!! I hope his TO-BE has lots of Chicks around! Optimism is the Key of life ... they say :)

My Parents, Re-Married!!

A classic saying --- Live life and live each day as if there is no tomorrow! We all know that each day is special, and indeed it has to be special so that the colors of joy and exuberance may be filled all over in each day.

Yesterday, wen i was busy arranging surprise gifts for my parents' anniversary(which is today), i was sure that my tomorrow is going to be beautiful and for sure!

So coming straight to the canvas ..... I had arranged some cool gifts for both mummy and papa, moreover had booked a bouquet of flowers which had to arrive 2day morning.

Morning ..(Today) , i was half asleep and waiting patiently for the door bell to rang and mummy to get the surprise of the day! But indeed the luck has something else in store.... the surprise turned out to be much more surprising for my mom...! She indeed thoought the delivery guy with the bouquet as a Beggar. Funny .. she with the folded hands turned him off saying "No ... Thank you". I am sure he must have never been embarassed in his hole life like mom cremated him! ha!!

I came rushing to door with the quest of seeing my mom in surprise... but she myself gave the surprise that he went off. OOOh!! wat a waste!! i rushed towards the Florist, get everything done and went to home back. Thank god this time my mom didnt mistook me as beggar! :)

I presented the gifts and the flowers to parents, and they were so elated, surprised, humbled, touched, ... etc etc etc.. that all they could do is to speak through their eyes as how great they were feeling at that moment. And mind you for any child, that moment is more than the life.

The good thing of today was that incidentally the Holi also clashed with my Parents' wedding anniversary. So after all the morning presents, celebrations etc, i got ready for another stint... To go wild with Holi dhamaal. Drove with friends to different places and celebrated holi with lots of colors. enjoyed to the hilt.

Later in the evening, i went with the parents to have dinner. We dined the delecious nihari mutton. and then scooped the delightful Nutty Buddy ice creams to finish off the day.

The day went smooth, peaceful and great. But the most satisfying thing was seeing my parents happy. The pleasure to see them delighted will keep me on .... to give them more precious moments in future!

Bypassing windows validation check for Windows Media Player 11

Whew! Its such a painstakingly horrible that you download the whole 24 MB file through your broadband connection or dial-up connection, and u end up facing the Validation check screen which tells u .. 'Naaah! time over baby .. letz check ur accessories! .. ehmm. OS i mean ;)'. To avoid this ... I straight away went to google guru! And i knw i would find some solutions over there for sure! So here are the workaround

1. Download WMPlayer11.
2. Download WinRAR and install WinRAR extraction tool.
3. Extract the WMP11 installer by using WinRAR or PowerArchiver to a directory (e.g. wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu).
4. Download LegitLibM.dll (in RAR format, extract after download) from here.
5. Copy the extracted LegitLibM.dll to the extracted directory of WMP11 installer.
6. Overwrite any existing LegitLibM.dll file.
7. Run setup_wm.exe by double clicking.
8. Install Windows Media Player 11 Final accordingly.

Enjoy!

Learn To Relax ... Chillax!

Stress
is possibly one of the biggest enemies of modern life. And the recent case of a
Gurgaon based man being run over by a car only highlights the stressful times we
live in. The most helpful method of dealing with stress is learning how to
manage stress that comes along with certain situations. Learn how to ‘de-stress’
when things are relatively calm can help see you through many trying times. If
you want to build your resilience, work on developing these behavioural habits:

VISUALISATION

Soothe strained nerves by taking an imaginary trip to an ideal
place. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and for the next ten minutes,
imagine yourself in any place you wish to be! This method can be used anytime
and anywhere you need to relax. And the best part is that it only takes a few
minutes.

SIMPLIFY

Learn not to overburden yourself. Simplify. Delegate jobs. Put your
best foot forward whenever you undertake a task, but ask yourself about whether
it really is that important before getting into it. And it’s sometimes
beneficial to ignore others’ criticisms, as they only add to your stress levels.

PLAN

Planning your day can help you feel more in control of your life,
and this can ease your stress. Write a to-do list, placing the most important
tasks at the top. Prioritising will

ensure you spend your time
and energy on those that are

truly important to you.
Schedule your daily activities to minimise conflicts and last-minute rushes.

POSITIVE
SELF-TALK

Self-talk is the stream of thoughts that run through your
head every day. These are automatic self-thoughts, which can be positive or
negative. It’s draining and unhealthy to have negative thoughts running through
your head most of the time. If your thoughts are mostly positive, you’re likely
to have a more optimistic outlook on situations and hence, lower stress levels.

A
HEALTHY DIET

People tend to skip meals during stressful situations.
Try to avoid this if at all possible. Feeding your body the right foods is
essential for managing stress.

ENVIRONMENT

Create environments that reduce stress. Colours of the walls, floor
coverings, and furniture all play a part in stress reduction. Cooling hues
create a sense of wellbeing.

ACCEPTANCE

Accept what cannot be changed. We can accept what we cannot change
by changing what

can. Make choices that are realistic.

Avoid
these fears

Additionally, learning not to get bogged down by these
irrational fears will also help you lower your stress levels

FILTERING: You had a
great day at work and have completed your tasks ahead of the deadline, but you
made a minor mistake at some point during the day. That evening, your focus will
be only on your mistakes. Avoid doing this.

PERSONALISING: When
something bad happens, you automatically blame yourself. For example, you hear
that an evening out with friends is cancelled and you assume that the change in
plans is because no one wanted to be around you.

CATASTROPHISING:
This happens when you always anticipate the worst. You refuse to go out with
people for fear that you’ll make a fool of yourself. Or one change in your daily
routine leads you to think the day will be a disaster. This can be very
stressful.

POLARISING: You see things only as either good or bad, or
black and white. You feel that you have to be perfect or you’re a total failure.
This attitude impedes your adjustment levels and so, only increases stress
levels

Want to lose weight? Eat slowly

How many times have your parents yelled at you to chew your food well?

In
fact, Ayurveda even suggests you must eat your food slowly and chew
each morsel 32 times, since you have 32 teeth. This, says the ancient
Indian science, is beneficial for digestion and, consequently, results
in good health!

A recent
study, conducted by Kathleen Melanson, assistant professor of nutrition
and food science at the University of Rhode Island, USA, also shows
that women who eat their food slowly stay slim.

In
our busy life, most of us go through our meals without really tasting
or savouring it. Try this -- ask anyone you know what they had for
lunch the day before. Most of the people you ask this question to will
be unable to give you the right answer. Do you remember what you ate
yesterday?

We tend to eat so quickly that the meal rarely registers in our memory.

Chewing your food well and eating it slowly can have several benefits.

Chewing
helps to break down the food in the mouth itself. This is where the
first step of digestion takes place, where the food mixes with saliva.
If you tend to eat very quickly, without really chewing well, a lot of
gas bubbles get trapped in the food. This gives you the 'bloated'
feeling, resulting in the production of gas, and belching.

Having
your meal slowly can ensure you eat less. If you are aware of the
eating habits of the French, you will realise that most of their meals
consist of pastas, wine cheese. Then how do these people stay so
slim? The answer could lie in the fact that they eat small portions of
these foods.

But how to you feel full by eating smaller servings? By eating your food slowly chewing it well of course!

Our
body is designed in a way that our stomach sends the message to the
brain via neurotransmitters only 20 minutes after it is full. Which
means you may be quite full much before you realise it. As a result,
you may have eaten too much which will make you feel overfull later.

If
you are trying to lose weight cannot seem to get a hold on your
appetite, start your meal with thick vegetable soup followed by a large
helping of salad. Increasing your vegetable servings in this form helps
you feel fuller due to the fibre intake. It also makes you chew the
food more so that, by the time you reach the main course, you eat
lesser portions.

Eating high
fibre food like salad fruit is not just good for your waistline,
but also a great exercise to help your teeth gums remain healthy!

Choose more of whole foods
over processed foods. Take out some time from your schedule for your
meals. Don't gulp it down. Don't work at the computer while eating your
food. Another major culprit is the television -- switch it off at
mealtimes.

Instead, eat your
food slowly, preferably in the company of family and/ or friends.
Besides learning to really appreciate your food, you'll find you've
notched on several health benefits as well!

Karim's -- a non-vegetarians's delight!

Karim's.
Delhiites are probably aware of the name. For the uninitiated though,
this is the best restaurant in Delhi, serving non-vegetarian food since
1913. Every food guide worth its name has voted it Delhi's best
restaurant for many years. No one who has visited the restaurant will
disagree.

As for me, I am a die-hard fan.

Karim'sThe
original Karim's is bang opposite Jama Masjid in the walled city area
of Delhi. It is close to a market known as Darya Ganj. Those visiting
Karim's for the first time will be surprised at the location. Getting
there is not easy, you will need to ask locals for help.

Until
the 1990s, Karim's did not have any branches, but they have now opened
branches in Nizamuddin, Kailash Colony, Noida, Gurgaon with the latest
in Kamla Nagar. The quality of food, however, has a long way to go
before it matches the original Karim's.

At
this mouth-watering point, let's talk of the food. As I said at the
outset, Karim's is a gastronomic delight for non-vegetarians.
Vegetarians are welcome too, but at their own risk.

For
starters, I'd recommend the Mutton Burra (succulent pieces of mutton
cooked in an oven). Believe me, you have not tasted softer mutton.

You could also try Mutton Raan (part of the thigh). This starter is huge, and is meant for four or five people.

Alternately, try the kebabs. You have a wide range to choose from, including Seekh Kebabs, Shammi Kebabs and Mutton Tikka.

In the chicken category, sample the Chicken Seekh Kebab, Tandoori Chicken or Chicken Tikka.

For
the main course, please, please order the Mutton Korma, Mutton Stew and
Badam Pasanda (boneless mutton cooked with yoghurt, almonds and
spices). You will fall in love with all of them.

Those
who like chicken can go for the awesome Chicken Noor Jehan and Chicken
Jahangiri. Karim's offers other dishes as well, but the five I have
mentioned are unbeatable for their flavour.

As
for the bread, try the Roti (prepared with wheat flour and
yeast). Thick and slightly sweet, it is an interesting deviation from
the traditional tandoori roti. Alternately, order the Keema Parantha (parantha stuffed with minced mutton). Karim's also offers roomali rotis, butter nans and paranthas.

Do remember to save space for dessert.

Karim's
serves two main desserts that are out of this world. Kheer Benazir
(prepared with milk, broken rice, sugar) and Shahi Tukda (fried bread
soaked in condensed milk) are both delicious ends to a satisfying meal.
They are perfectly made. Any meal at Karim's is incomplete without
these desserts. And yes, if you are ordering the Shahi Tukda, do order
it with the meal itself, as it takes a while to prepare.

The
most exclusive dish at Karim's is the Tandoori Bakra -- a full goat
stuffed with dry fruits, basmati rice, minced meat and spices. It costs
Rs 3,500. You have to order a day in advance and make a 50 percent down
payment. I have not sampled it yet, but definitely will when I visit
the restaurant with a huge group.

The
service at every Karim's restaurant is impressive; despite the huge
crowds that gather, it is also very quick. A meal for two -- with
starters, main course and dessert -- will cost Rs 300-400 if you eat at
Karim's, Jama Masjid. If you eat at the other branches, add 40 per cent
to this figure as the dishes there are more expensive.

The
original Karim's does not offer valet parking, but its branches do.
Credit cards are at all branches except the main restaurant.

The
ambience at each branch The original has tasteful interiors and
can comfortably host about 100 people. The ambience at the East of
Kailash branch is okay; the one in Gurgaon, least appealing.

Non-vegetarians must visit Karim's at least once. The next time you feel the need for a satisfying meal, you know where to go.

20-20 party!

Yest'day i was merely surprised to see the indians juz bouncing back in their first ever 20-20 one day international.

The indian cricket lovers had already left it to the god's grace of seeing their team winning ! The bowling and batting did clicked well and it was really pleasing to see the team through.. But the good point to note here is that why do our cricketers only awakes when they get heavy smacking? Dinesh mongia got among runs so did karthick.. Sehwag played nice they all faced the music of Board's anger ... some 1 got out from coming test series ... and some1 (sehwag to be precise) got demoted from the Vice captain's position!

A Lonely Intersection!

Every dog has his gud day .. and even has a bad day. But dog doesn't howl .. growl or bark on seeing the twist in his fortunes! But humans do! when somehow they find themselves standing lonely on a busy intersection of the road of life .. but they dont know where the right path is and where he/she should move ahead... they do! Similar thing happned to me today.

Right since the morning .. i was desperate to make a gud use of "oh so rare" SUNDAY! Though indeed i got a bit sick sitting at home for whole saturday .. so thot to get on seeing the new Dhoom sequel to energize my sleeping senses!

Got out from the home telling ma family that i would be going wid my friend for his b'day party ... (which was actually planned earlier) .. His plan took a backtrack ... i then thot to go to some nearby cinema so i could get to see the new fantastic action packed movie. Things were not scripted for me.... All shows were going house full ... and y they should not be ? Dhoom 2 has juz released this friday and the whole Gen X, Y and Z are going crazy over the speeding bikes shown in a spanky style with glamour thrown in like the tomato sauce on tasty omellete!

Anyhow ... i reluctantly came out of the cinema's arena .. and strolled towards no- where .. i was juz moving .. reluctantly ... all doors closed... no where to watch movie .. no where to go ...!
When i got close to moti nagar metro stn. i saw a genral store and took a burger! Then decided to get to mandi house to view the drama.

I realised that in this whole scenario i was also becomming the part of this drama. I went up to catch the metro .. The escalators were all fun to board.. I alwez get happy like a child when i get over them!

The station was luking swanky as alwez.... Everything was perrrfect including ticket counters! Sadly there were no girl attendants! :(

wen i reachd mandi house ... my belief towards the bad day got more stronger and evident. Mandi house ws staging a drama on children.. Shriram center closed,
Afer a slight hesitation.. went to kamani audi. .. the show was already started and there was some oddissi culture exhibition. The day ended but perhaps i am happy coz in this process i have learnt that i can be a happy DOG even if i am STADING on the INTERSECTION of THE ROAD LONELY.

A strange predicament ..

Blog is somewhat i alwez fantasize to enter and post into ... but somehow whenever i get my fingers polished to write few words about myself or the variant things happening around me ... i lose the words and thots! There is something strange to it coz an avid blogger fans dont usually land themselves into this sort of trouble.

But the clever bloggers knew somehow how to make their irritating dilemma of "What to Write" to another topic of the blog! Thats what i did!

There are some things around me happening which are quite exciting like the riots .. accidents (horrible though), some crazy people and kewl talks .. some office stuff .. some girlish stuff, some horrible ass-aching torrid time in the local busses but could not possibly find time to put them into here.

Yeah sometime life gets jerky, sometimes .. it gets hectic but i believe that blogging is the best thing i could vent my whole misery upon!

But i know one thing, even after writing this blog, even next time when i will jump into blogger to write another few words .. i would be standing like a cow ... having a very little idea about what to write! but thank god... "BLOGGERS ARE BOUND TO GIVE BIRTH TO IDEAS"

DON - What a waste!!

juz a week back i got a chance to view the much wastefully hyped sk starrer DON(remake). and to tell the truth if u have or haven't seen the old Bog B don .. this Sk don is really a mere piece of shit! I am not finding the worst words to award this trash work. But i would strongly suggest any1 to rather go to zoo and watch variety of animals than seeing only a Monkey acting like DON without creating any DON like engma or terror!

I know i am a HAter for SK but still i can't find any story ... if there is any .. thats juz copied straight out of old don't book!

I was all embarrased watching the movie with my frenz ... who were luking out to have a blast time at the movie. AND see wat they had done to the "Khaike paan banaras waala superhit oldie" Remakes are strict NO - NO aaj ke baad!

I hope shahrukh would learn the lesson pretty fast .. and so will farhan akhtar . DONT GO TO WATCH IT ...PLLZZZZZ.!!
